Roots is an illustrator and street artist from Birmingham, UK. Specialising in heavily character based artwork with a love for the weird and wonderful, influenced by 90s pop culture and falling down nature’s rabbit hole.
As a full-time freelancer, Roots has engaged in a wide range of projects, collaborating with talented individuals and organisations. Her portfolio includes murals and illustrations for local businesses, custom toys exhibitions, and has worked with brands such as Nike, Adidas, o2 and Sephora. Roots has also been an ambassador for Posca and Pebeo over the years, showcasing their products at events and exhibitions nationally.
In addition, Roots is passionate about hosting workshops that foster creativity, particularly encouraging the next generation to explore street art and character design in a fun and inclusive setting.
Awarded Best Illustrator and Street Artist by SME UK Enterprise Awards 2025, and was the finalist in the UK Illustration Championships in 2020.
